Tessa received her Education Degree from Florida State University and immediately jumped into classroom teaching. She taught in both Florida and Georgia before pivoting to private tutoring full time. She has continued to work with both private and public school students, as well as home school. She has been hired to work with students on campus at The Lovett School in Atlanta, GA for the last 7 years as well.

She is especially passionate about empowering students through executive functioning skill development, math understanding, and integrating AI tools into lessons to foster ethical and responsible AI use for the school years and beyond.

Q: Do you only work online with students? A: Yes, excellent tutors working with students online has proven to be a powerful and an effective tool. Plus it offers flexibility for our families!

Q: What is the age group of students that you work with? A: I serve rising/current 6th through 12th grade students.

Q: How do I get started? What if the time I need isn't available? A: To get started, you can directly schedule with me through the Calendly form or send me an email with any questions. I will gather key details and goals you have for our sessions and tailor our sessions to your specific needs! If you want to get on a wait list for a particular date/time send me an email!

Q: How do I know if we are actually a good fit for working with each other? A: Such an important question! Some of whom I best serve: -are no more than 2 grade levels behind academically -are looking to get ahead and achieve excellence -are willing and motivated to give their best effort -may have learning challenges like ADHD, discalcula, requires extra time, etc. -interested in learning how to use AI responsibly **And we always help determine fit based on personal need. After learning about your child's specific details, we will let you know if we are the right fit or if we should try to direct you to another resource who may serve you best!
